In the Solitaire du Figaro – Eric Bompard Cachemire the 400-mile course from Concarneau in Brittany to Torbay was a leg not to be missed. Yann Elies (Groupe Queguiner – Leucemie Espoir) beat Charlie Dalin (Skipper Macif 2015) by just 10 seconds and were followed by Xavier Macaire, on Skipper Herault.

The rest of the 37 boat fleet crossed the Torbay finish line at staggered intervals throughout yesterday and into the evening.

After four days and nights of well-earned rest, the 39 solo sailors will set off on Sunday from Torbay towards Dieppe for the fourth and final leg of this 46th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro – Eric Bompard Cachemire.

The Race Village is open on Beacon Quay, Torquay Harbour every day until 21 June. Entertainment highlights include daily live music, fireworks (20 June), a Pro-Am race, cooking demonstrations, children’s entertainment, martial arts displays, a Race Village bar and much more.
