First Class Sailing Launches Spinnaker Sailing Weekend

First Class Sailing is launching a brand-new Spinnaker Sailing Weekend, designed for anyone looking to take their sailing skills up a notch. This weekend course, set in the Solent, is perfect for those eager to master the spinnaker and enjoy some hands-on sailing fun.

The Spinnaker Weekend is all about getting to grips with the spinnaker—hoisting, trimming, gybing, and dropping it with confidence. It’s a great way to build your skills and enjoy the thrill that comes with sailing under a spinnaker.

“We’re really looking forward to launching this new weekend course,” said Charlie Tulloch, Principal of First Class Sailing. “The spinnaker is one of the most exciting sails to work with. It’s challenging but incredibly rewarding, and this course is all about helping sailors build confidence while having a great time. Whether you want to improve your racing or just enjoy more dynamic cruising, this weekend promises to be a lot of fun.”

The Spinnaker Sailing Weekend is a two-day experience, where you will be sailing on well-equipped yachts, with small groups to make sure everyone gets plenty of attention and time at the helm. After the weekend course you will leave with the know-how to handle a spinnaker with ease, and the confidence to tackle it on your own or in a race. On top of the hands-on sailing, you will also learn about spinnaker rigging, sail selection, and some of the latest techniques in spinnaker sailing.

The first Spinnaker Sailing Weekend kicks off on 7 September. These Spinnaker Weekends are available for booking now, allowing students to secure their spots early.
