Haven Knox-Johnston, the boat insurance specialists, has announced a three-year title sponsorship agreement with the Crick Boat Show.
The well-established and popular inland boating show running across the late May bank holiday from the 23 – 26 May 2025 will now be referred to as Crick Boat Show sponsored by Haven Knox-Johnston.
Having worked closely with the show organising team at Waterways World for several years as sponsors of the prestigious Favourite Boat in Show competition and more recently to support Trade & Preview Day, the new title sponsorship agreement takes Haven Knox-Johnston’s relationship with the show to a new level. The expanded partnership will benefit the inland boating community through increased investment and extra resource to enable the much-loved show to grow from strength to strength in 2025 and beyond.
The Haven Knox-Johnston name is synonymous with boat insurance, and the sponsorship agreement demonstrates their commitment to giving back to the inland boating community, playing an active role in maintaining the unique culture and experience of life on the cut.
Paul Knox-Johnston, Haven Knox-Johnston’s Marketing Manager, said: “Crick Boat Show is always a highlight of our year and when the opportunity arose to further increase our support of the Show for 2025 we jumped at the chance. It aligns perfectly with our focus on being actively involved in boating communities via our new HavenKJ Life Collective. Watch this space as we have many exciting plans as part of this sponsorship.”
Peter Johns, Crick Boat Show Director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working even more closely with Haven Knox-Johnston – their sponsorship of Favourite Boat in Show for four years and more recently Trade & Preview Day means that this feels like a natural progression. Their creative input will help us to continue to develop the Show with new ideas as we head into what will be the 25th Crick Boat Show in 2025.”
Crick Boat Show was launched in 2000 by British Waterways (now Canal & River Trust) and has become a mecca for the inland waterways scene every year since. Waterways World took over organisation of the show in 2011 and has overseen its development with new features and attractions continuously added to expand the show’s appeal.
