This month the British Motor Yacht Show made its mark as one of the UK’s first boat shows to successfully go ahead this year, with the very best motor yachts assembled at Premier’s Swanwick Marina over nine days.
A stunning collection of motor yachts from the key partners; Fairline, Sunseeker and Princess were joined by others exhibitors including Supermarine Motor Yachts and Sealine providing an ideal opportunity for serious buyers attending to enjoy extended viewings in a relaxed atmosphere the show has become renowned for.
Princess Motor Yacht displayed five models including the new restyled Princess S66 with key upgrades including hull infusion technology to ensure efficiency and ride-comfort, as well as knife-shaped hull windows providing a modern finish.
“We were delighted with the way in which the show went this year, and for Princess and Argo Yachting, it was a real success,“ said Sales Director, Roger Lipman, of Princess Motor Yacht Sales. “The fact that it was operated by appointment and extended over 9 days, meant that visitors could enjoy viewing the yachts in a completely safe environment. This year’s show stands out in particular for the number of enquiries from individuals and families looking to experience boat ownership for the very first time!”
Sunseeker Southampton also impressed visitors with three brand-new Sunseekers, including the cutting-edge Sunseeker Manhattan 55.
James Lumley, Sales Manager of Sunseeker Southampton commented: “This was the second year of managing this show under strict Covid regulations, and I am delighted that yet again, our collective organising team delivered a hugely successful event. Boutique events such as the BMYS, allow us to showcase our luxury Sunseeker range, in an informal picturesque riverside setting, which is exactly how our clients use their boats. With a number of new orders secured, we are already looking forward to the 2022 season and beyond.”
Fairline also had a successful show with the chance to view four models on the water, alongside the breath-taking F-Line 33 ashore.
Richard Bates, Managing Director – Bates Wharf said: “Year on year we’ve seen The British Motor Yacht Show grow exponentially. The relaxed atmosphere and focused attendee base are the magic ingredients that have once again delivered our strongest ever show. We’re already looking forward to 2022 and the prospect of further developments that will take the event to the next level.”
Premier Marina’s Swanwick General Manager, Graham Bristowe, added: “I am delighted with how this year’s show went. The British Motor Yacht Show is a major annual event for Swanwick Marina and it is fantastic to hear exhibitors reporting great sales. I am especially proud of all the marina staff who helped to make this year’s show such as success and we’re already looking forward to making the 2022 event even better.”
Next year’s British Motor Yacht Show will take place from Wednesday 18 May – Sunday 22 May 2022.
