Cowes Classics Day, on 26 June, will showcase treasures of the past with a stunning collection of classic cars and beautiful historic motor boats.
Visitors will be able to view the exhibits, free of charge, in front of Cowes’ famous yacht clubs on The Parade and adjacent pontoons at Cowes. Owners are warmly invited to polish up their classic cars and motorboats and bring them along to join in the fun.
Cowes Classics Day is part of Cowes Classics Week, in which over 200 yachts are expected to race in the waters off Cowes over the following five days. With the spectacle of the world-famous Round the Island Race starting and finishing off Cowes on 25 June, there are many reasons to come along.
Exhibits will include up to 65 classic cars and an assortment of historic motorboats including the beautiful motor yacht Lilian.
Owners of cars they consider are classics are encouraged to enter at www.cowesclassicsweek.org/classic-cars. The Royal London Yacht Club, organisers of the event, will provide exhibitors with a cream tea, drinks reception, dining options and discounted ferry tickets, courtesy of generous supporters Red Funnel.
