Introducing a brand new dimension to SBS BoatLife 2023, the Angling Village will further open up this popular activity to enthusiasts old and new. An excellent opportunity to become fully immersed in all-things fishing, the zone will host a large variety of stands, boats, equipment plus a stage area, solely dedicated to the angling sector.
To reflect this exciting new locale, the SBS BoatLife ambassadors feature two prominent names from the world of angling. Keen to spend as much time on the water as possible, Will Parkinson is a passionate sea angler with a determined attitude thanks to his job as a firefighter. Hailing from Northern Ireland and a family of angling enthusiasts, Simon Gibson is five-time Lure Fishing International Champion and also a fishing guide based on Lough Erne. Both men are highly knowledgeable in their area and it is a huge bonus to have them at BoatLife advocating this sport.
At the upcoming show Suzuki Marine UK will be further expanding their presence with a new stand specifically located in the Angling Village, providing an ideal space to view the range of their fuel-efficient, performance outboard motors. Alongside them, and making their debut on the BoatLife floor, will be Warrior Boats who manufacture high-quality leisure and commercial motorboats, renowned for their impressive five-year construction warranty and equipped with Suzuki outboards. Another newcomer, also fitted with Suzuki propulsion, Cheetah Marine are European leaders in the specialist design and construction of bespoke power catamarans within the commercial market.
Family owned Marine Power is a leading supplier of outboards, fishing and leisure boats, driven by a passion for boating. They will be displaying two brands of stylish aluminium boats, ideal for fishing enthusiasts looking for reliability and functionality. Manufactured in Sweden, the Linder range is well-built and almost 100% recyclable, plus Ukrainian UMS Boats, offering great seakeeping qualities with an affordable price tag.
South West Yacht Brokers will present models from Smartliner, boats designed for leisure use and constructed from fibreglass with a mix of classic and contemporary styling. Known for stability and solid engineering, they have a high quality interior finish with plenty of storage space, essential for angling trips.
Tournaments are of course the pinnacle of sporting prowess in fishing, and none more so than the much-respected Sea Angling Classic and the World Predator Classic who will both have a considerable presence at SBS BoatLife. They will be unveiling the Sea Angling Classic top prize for the winner of the upcoming recreational competition in 2023, a fully rigged Extreme 745 Game King, complete with 300hp Yamaha Helmmaster EX joystick control, Lowrance Ultimate Fishing system and trailer.
To further complement these businesses exhibiting in the Angling Village, a number of market leading tackle brands will be attending, all to be announced shortly.
Richard Dove, MD of BoatLife Events commented, “We are excited to be showcasing the new Angling Village which we have no doubt will be a very popular area and packed with atmosphere. Fishing is certainly a national pastime in the UK and to further augment that experience with so many opportunities and great brands is a real privilege for SBS BoatLife 2023.”
