Southampton Sailing School Celebrates 50th Edition of Rolex Fastnet Race with Three Entries

Southampton sailing school, First Class Sailing, is set to make waves as they announce their participation in the 50th edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race. With three yachts entered, First Class Sailing is gearing up to compete against a field of nearly 500 vessels in this iconic and demanding race.

The highly anticipated race will commence on 22 July 22 in Cowes, Isle of Wight, and culminating in the picturesque port of Cherbourg, France. Spanning a challenging 695nm, the Rolex Fastnet Race has become a true test of endurance and skill for sailors worldwide.

First Class Sailing’s three entries, named Challenger 3, Espresso Martini, and Phantom, will be sailed by skilled and trained crews, ready to face the unpredictable elements and intense competition. Each yacht has undergone meticulous preparation to ensure they are in peak performance for the demanding race ahead.
