Sunsail has launched a new off-grid style sailing itinerary for seasoned sailors who want to visit the beautiful sailing grounds of the Dalmation Coast in Croatia.
The new sailing itinerary, which is branded as “Off The Beaten Track”, will be available for bareboat charters from Sunsail’s base in the beautiful marina village of Agana, in Central Dalmatia. The itinerary is designed to offer experienced sailors who hold a minimum entry RYA Day Skipper and VHF qualifications an opportunity to enjoy a seven day off-grid adventure away from the well-travelled hotspots.
In contrast to other itineraries from Sunsail, which has been sailing for more than 50 years, “Off The Beaten Track” is designed for experienced sailors who prefer the freedom of anchoring and want to avoid the added expense of mooring fees at marinas and town quays.
Caroline Barbour, UK Marketing Manager for Sunsail, said: “This suggested itinerary is one our most exciting yet. It mixes sightseeing in local towns, coves and sandy beaches with open sailing during the day. By night, mooring buoys and anchorage points will leave guests feeling like they are sleeping on the open water.
“While this itinerary isn’t suited for beginners, you do have the option to add a skipper who can handle the sailing for you. Alternatively, if you are considering a bareboat charter you need to know how to safely anchor for the night, and there is no electricity, water refill points, rubbish removal or refuel points in any of these spots, hence the name “Off The Beaten Track”. This itinerary is ideal for experienced sailors seeking more freedom and adventure, while still enjoying the peace of mind that comes with Sunsail’s local team and 4-Hour Commitment.
“We can’t wait to welcome guests to set sail and share their experience of freedom.”
This new itinerary gives participants the opportunity to sail Croatia’s breathtaking coastline from the serene anchorage of Fumija Bay to the lively waterfront of Komiža Town, blending adventure, relaxation and hidden gems.
