The organisers of Plymouth Boat Fest have announced that tickets for the inaugural event are now available.
Taking place on Saturday 21st June at Plymouth Yacht Haven, tickets are free for the one-day festival aimed at celebrating Plymouth’s maritime heritage. The day brings together a range of activities for boating enthusiasts, families, and anyone with an interest in life on the water.
Organiser Steve Cox, Manager of Plymouth Yacht Haven explained the inspiration behind the event, stating, “The Westcountry has a strong maritime heritage and skilled workforce, yet no dedicated regional show. We want to create a festival that blends community engagement with an impressive showcase of maritime offerings from companies in and around Britain’s Ocean City. To make it as accessible as possible, we’ve made entry free ensuring everyone can get involved.”
On-Water Demonstrations
Visitors can explore a diverse range of boats, from historic vessels to the latest modern designs, offering a fascinating glimpse into maritime evolution. There will be demonstrations from some of the most state-of-the-art autonomous and remotely-operated vessels, alongside classic boats and brokerage.
