The Isle of Man Post Office has announced the release of “Marine Mosaics” by acclaimed artist Kimmy McHarrie. This captivating stamp collection, set to launch on March 7th, 2024, offers a breath-taking glimpse into the mesmerising world of marine life, beautifully depicted through the art of mosaic.
Kimmy McHarrie, a native of Castletown, Isle of Man, has dedicated her life to capturing the essence of nature through her intricate artwork. Inspired by her deep-rooted connection to the sea and fuelled by a passion for conservation, Kimmy’s creations serve as a poignant reminder of the fragile beauty that surrounds us.
The “Marine Mosaics” collection features six stamps, each showcasing a unique selection of fish species native to the waters of the Isle of Man. From the humble Herring, affectionately known as Skeddan in Manx, to the majestic Braddan – Salmon, Kimmy’s mosaics pay homage to the rich maritime heritage of the Island.
