Yamaha Motor returns to SIBS with extensive range on display and on-water Helm Master EX demo

Yamaha Motor UK will showcase a range of its outboard engines, inflatable boats, personal watercraft and a range of craft from its boat partners at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show between 13th – 22nd September.

An exciting part of the display will be on the water demonstrations of Yamaha’s next-generation integrated boat control system Helm Master EX, fully retro-fitted to an Axopar 28 Cabin, as well as a land stand presentation of the Terhi 400 following news that Yamaha will be its new UK distribution partner.

Onboard the Axopar 28 Cabin, visitors will get the chance to experience Yamaha’s industry-leading Helm Master EX system, conducting docking and manoeuvring demos at regular intervals throughout the 10-day event.

This state-of-the-art system combines joystick steering, ultra-smooth shifting and single-function buttons for super easy and effortless operation, which allows boat owners with Yamaha outboards to manoeuvre with complete confidence, even in the most confined areas, such as marinas. This year the demonstration will show how well a single-engine boat with the newly integrated bow thruster performs in conjunction with Helm Master EX.

Joining the impressive Axopar 28 Cabin on the show’s marina (berths M028 – M037) will be partners Yeoward Boatyards, The Boat Shop, Cheetah Marine and MES Marine who will present a range of Yamaha boat partners; Yamarin boats (80DC, 67DC, 63DC, 63BR),  Buster XXL, as well as the White Shark 24 Sport Cabin and 24 CC, Karnic,  and a new Cheetah 7.9m model.

Visitors on land can take to the waterfront E053 stand for even more Yamaha action, where the Terhi 400, complete withan 8hp Yamaha Outboard, will be displayed. Alongside this, will be the new F350, a YAM 275 with a 5hp, and a collection of three Yamaha’s WaveRunners; the GP1900R, FX Cruiser HO and VX Cruiser HO models. There will also be a Helm Master EX static display.

What’s more, Yamaha will be showcasing a range of eBikes for boat owners looking to explore the shore and marinas with ease. This fleet of impressive models will include the MORO 07, CrossCore RC and BOOSTER Easy.

Matt Taylerson, Divisional Marketing Manager at Yamaha Motor UK, said: “As always, Yamaha is excited to be showcasing a wide range of products at the Southampton International Boat Show. This world-famous event not only offers us the chance to present an exciting demo for customers to experience but it is a great opportunity for our Yamaha experts and boat partners to engage with our valued customers and boat enthusiasts.”
