ZHIK’S ‘REZHIKLING’ PARTNERSHIP WITH CIRCULAR FLOW

Zhik is proud to partner with Circular Flow, global innovators in the recycling space. Circular Flow have developed a way to recycle old neoprene into new products, which can be recycled time and again, a brilliant alternative to taking over 100 years to decompose in landfill.

Sustainability is firmly at the heart of the Zhik brand, which has long established its own wetsuit recycling programme, “ReZHIKle”, throughout Australia and New Zealand. Together with Circular Flow, Zhik is now bringing neoprene recycling to the UK and Europe, kicking off with two ReZHIKle bins at the Southampton International Boat Show, which runs from 13 – 22 September.

Italian Zhik distributor Negrinautica has also received the ReZHIKle boxes and launched the program as a first mover in Europe, and said, “At Negrinautica, we are proud to lead the way in Europe with the ReZHIKle program. Sustainability is not just a goal, but a responsibility we all share. By recycling old wetsuits, we are giving our customers the chance to be part of the solution, helping to protect the waters and our world we love, for future generations.”

Attendees to the Southampton InternationalBoat Show are encouraged to bring their old wetsuits to be placed in the bins, which will be located on the stands of Zhik distributors, Southwest Marine dealer GOAT Marine, (stand J235 in Ocean Hall), and south coast sailing and dive specialists Andark, (opposite the lake attraction).

Peter, Circular Flow said, “With the same missions and passion to drive change, Circular Flow and Zhik have joined forces to expand a greener, more sustainable solution for end-of-life neoprene to the UK and EU market. We can’t wait to collaborate with Zhik, and make sure that even more wetsuits are able to be recycled sustainably – rather than contributing to landfill and pollution.”

Johnny Rodgers, Zhik Head of Marketing/Partnerships & Global Sponsorship Manager, said, “We’re excited to partner with Circular Flow to help close the gap on our product lifecycle, extending our ReZHIKle program across the globe.”
